Keeping your inflatable hot tub clean isn’t just about maintaining a sparkling appearance – it’s essential for hygiene, performance, and prolonging the life of your spa. Soft cloth or sponge
Non-abrasive cleaner (hot tub or spa-safe)

Always start by turning off and unplugging your hot tub. Use the built-in drain valve to release the water – you can attach a hose to direct it away from your patio or lawn.
Once empty, use a soft cloth or sponge and a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner to wipe down the inside of the tub. You can also use a mix of white vinegar and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or scrubbing pads, which can damage the surface.
👉 Top Tip: Pay attention to the waterline, where oils and residue build up.
Use your garden hose to rinse the inside thoroughly, making sure no soap or cleaner is left behind. Leftover residue can cause foam when you refill the tub.
Remove the filter and give it a good rinse under warm water. For a deeper clean, soak it in a filter cleaner or vinegar solution for a few hours. If it’s looking worn or discoloured, it’s time to replace it.
🔁 How often? Every 1–2 weeks if used frequently, or after every few uses.
Wipe down the outside of the hot tub using the same mild cleaner or soapy water. This keeps it looking fresh and prevents mildew.
If you’re packing your tub away, make sure it’s completely dry to avoid mould and mildew. Use towels to absorb moisture, and leave it out to air-dry for a few hours before folding and storing.
There are spa surface wipes and waterline cleaners available for quick wipe-downs between full cleans. These help prevent build-up and reduce the frequency of deep cleaning.
